"And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. {which...: Heb. upon whom my name is called}
Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer {that is made} in this place. {unto...: Heb. to the prayer of this place}
For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;

But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it {to be} a proverb and a byword among all nations.
And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house?
And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them."

1-Many confuse humble with humiliation. Humble is to recognize his error. Recognize that should have acted in such a way and did not act. Recognize that was going in the right direction and changed direction under the guidance of man and not of God. Is humiliating is to have the courage to come before God and ask, 'Father, forgive. I have sinned against you and against the heavens, I am not worthy to be called your son! As did the prodigal son.
Recognize that you took a wrong turn and did not do what God told you to do. Change now and the Father bless you.
2-Prayer is talking to God and let Him speak to you. Prayer is a daily relationship with the Father and not formulas written to achieve something, that is magic and bad in May Prayer is able to reach the Father's breast and listen to your heart beat. Prayer is able to say, Father, here I am, talking to your child listens! Prayer is breathing God's will. To pray is to declare that life calls, struggles call, the call needs, but the time is now of God, will hear nothing, except his voice.
3-Seek the face of God's love it. Says the book of proverbs: I love those who love me, and those who seek me early, find me!
Seek God's like you did not want to anything else he alone. Are you looking, feeling and experiencing. Many say they can not see God in this world, is not true. The psalm says: The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Seek, and just look right.
4-convert is to turn around and return to where you were going! It was where God commanded, now go! It's not your way is the way of God. It is not to your liking and taste of God. Obey and he will renew you!
