Devotional for Presidents, Kings, Princes, Ministers and Leaders. 14

Shalt thou reign, because thou closest {thyself} in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, {and} then {it was} well with him?
He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then {it was} well {with him: was} not this to know me? saith the LORD.
Jeremias 22:15,16

This case is very specific and it seems to me that God is talking to a successor to the crown or a generation of new leaders.
Luxury is no guarantee to take the legacy of his father. The surround yourself fortune does not provide the security you need to take over the company, the political legacy or the throne of his country. God shows you a way:
1- God tells him that his father "eat and drink": that is, his father enjoyed the good and the best, his father was not deprived of the good things of life and not the rule.
2 He practiced justice and righteousness: Judgment is to injustice the punishment it deserves and asks for his actions. Courage to enforce the law. Justice is to apply the law in full measure, not exceeding or to the left nor to the right, but keeping the balance in balance. The King is the defender of the law.
All was well with him. It means he prospered and was loved by his people.
3- judged: Did justice those who could not defend themselves from injustice.
Then the well reached.
See that God is pleased with those who do good and see the law as an ally.
This is also know God.
