Forgiveness is not forgetting. Forgiveness is the act of no longer feel pain, discomfort or hatred of a situation or something that happened in our lives.

Forgive then it erase the pain of the fact that prevented us from proceeding, which prevented us from moving forward and achieving our target, either here on earth or in heaven.
Every day, many times, we have to forgive our brother or similar. People offend us, people in the attack, defame and slander people in, and we need to forgive.
How many are trapped in its past and can not forgive a brother or friend who has offended them. A relative who betrayed his confidence of a secret revealed? Or even betrayed by killing your future or your present?
Forgive it takes!

See:

The book of Hosea, perhaps more than any other book of the Old Testament exposes the heart of God. Hosea lives the wedding itself what God was going toward Israel. The first three chapters describe the life of Hosea. He is married, but his wife becomes an adulteress. He suffers from infidelity of her, but still shows mercy to take it back. So God saw his bride, the people of Israel, getting involved with "other gods", that is, committing spiritual adultery. Even after all that Israel had done, God would have mercy and grace to reconcile with this adulterous wife and establish a new covenant with her.
Sometimes God uses us as an example. If God wants us to be example, we must submit to His will as it is He who sends into our lives.
